Veg Manchurian Dry - Easy to Make Chinese Recipe

Yes I am alive. It is after two years that I am logging to my blog. I was literally busy in this world
and also I got lazy :P Anyways last night I cooked veg manchurian so thought why not share this easy to make Chinese recipe with you all.

This veg manchurian's easy formula as the title proposes is a dry variant. Following are the step by step demonstration for this recipe-

Ingredients used -

Fried veg balls:

  • ½ cup grated or finely chopped cabbage
  • ½ cup grated carrot
  • ¼ cup finely chopped capsicum/green bell pepper
  • ¼ cup finely chopped french beans
  • ¼ cup finely chopped spring onions/scallions or onions
  • 2 tbsp corn starch (also called as corn flour in india)
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour/maida
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt or add as required
  • oil for deep frying

Manchurian sauce:

  • ½ tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • ½ tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 or 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped spring onions/scallions or onions
  • ¼ tsp corn starch (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp red chili sauce
  • ½ tsp rice vinegar or regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • ½ to 1 tbsp chopped spring onions greens for garnish
  • ½ tbsp oil
  • salt as required

Step By Step Veg Dry Manchurian Recipe-

  1. Take the finely chopped cabbage, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum, french beans,and spring onions in a bowl
  2. Add 2 tbsp corn starch, 2 tbsp all purpose flour, ½ tsp black pepper and ½ tsp salt or add as required.
  3. Mix the mixture and knead it so that the veggies leave water and you get a dough like mixture.
    Take a small portion of the mixture in your hands; press and roll it in your palm to make a round veggie ball. This way make all veggie balls and keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil for deep frying in a pan. Add a small piece of mixture to the hot oil. if it does not stick at the bottom of the pan and comes up steadily the oil is ready for frying these veg manchurian balls. Gently place the balls in the medium hot oil.when cooked from one side, turn the balls and fry it till crisp and brown

  5. Fry all the veg balls this way in batches and keep aside.
  6. Now its time to make the sauce. Take another pan, heat about ½ tbsp oil in. add finely chopped garlic, ginger & 1 or 2 green chilies.
  7. Saute for a minute on a low flame and then add ¼ cup chopped spring onions or onions; saute till the onions soften
  8. Now add ½ tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp red/green chilly sauce and 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  9. Keeping the flame on lower side add ¼ tsp corn starch and stir it very well. 
  10. Add black pepper powder and very less salt to it and again stir well.
  11. Now add the fried veg balls.
  12. Stir so that the sauce coats the veg balls evenly. Switch off the flame and add ½ tsp rice vinegar or regular white vinegar.
  13. Toss it and serve the hot veg manchurian.

Mutter Panner Tikka Masala

Mutter Panner Tikka Masala ! Sounds different or vague, right? As you all might have heard of the recipes as "Mutter Paneer" or "Paneer Tikka Masala".  This recipe has its origin from the two known recipes (Mutter Paneer" and "Paneer Tikka Masala), and it is remixed by my friends.  so I want to share this following recipe for Mutter Paneer Tikka Masala :

Ingredients
  • Paneer- 500 gms
  • Green Peas (Mutter) – 2 cups
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Lemon Juice-1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder -2 tsp
  • Tomato Puree-3 cups
  • Chopped Onion- 1 cup
  • Jeera -1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder-1 tsp
  • Garam Masala-1 tsp
  • Turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Water-1/2 cup
  • Light Cream-1/3 cup
  • Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek)-1 tbsp
  • Oil-1 tbsp
  • Salt-to taste
Instructions
  1. Cut the paneer into square cubes and keep them in the boiled water for 7-8 minutes.
  2.  Boil the green peas in water for 5 minutes.
  3.  In a pan heat oil and add jeera, chopped onion, ginger and garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato puree and all the spices, and salt. Cook on medium for about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add the water and continue to cook for few more minutes.
  6. Add the curd and kasoori methi.
  7. Remove the paneer and mutter (green peas) from boiled water and add it into the gravy and simmer for about 8-10 minutes until well incorporated.
  8. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with Naan or Rice!

Sabudana (Sago Pearls / Pearl Tapioca) Pizza

Today’s recipe is something Indo-Italian! Yes Sabudana (Indian) and Pizza (Italian). Sabudana is the Hindi name for Sago Pearls or Pearl Tapioca. Though I have always loved eating Sabudana Khichidi, I can't ever cook it myself. So I thought of trying something else this ingredient. Without taking much time, I would like to share recipe of sabudana pizza with you all here. The complete step by step recipe is as below:

Sabudana PizzaSabudana Pizza -
Ingredients:
1 cup soaked sabudana (sago)
1/2 cup roasted peanut powder
1 spoon chopped green chilli
2 spoon fresh chopped coriander
1 boiled potato
1/4 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup grated cucumber
½ cup corn flour
1/2 cup mozzarella shredded cheese (as required)
Salt to taste
Oil / butter to grease.

Procedure:
The Recipe of Sabudana Pizza

1) Take the soak sabudana in a plate.
2) Then grate the potato and mix in the soaked sabudana.
3) Now add corn flour, green chilli, peanut powder, coriander and salt to the mixer of sabudana and potato.
4) Mix it well and make a ball of dough (add little water if required).
5) Take non-stick pan and grease the bottom and sides of the pan with the oil.
6) Now place ball of dough in the pan and press the dough around the pan using a flat palm, flattening it slightly starting at the centre and working outwards spreading oil around the evenly spread dough of the desired thickness.
7) Place the pan over a burner and cook on medium heat until dough is browned on the bottom. You can check it by lifting a corner with a knife. Then apply oil on the top side of the pizza and using a thin spatula flip it over.
8) Immediately spread the cheese onto it. Then add the toppings like green, yellow and red peppers, carrots, onions, tomatoes, etc. Again top it with additional mozzarella cheese. Cook until outer crust is brown and cheese is bubbling
9) Remove the pizza and cut into slices and serve immediately

Rice Paratha Recipe

Its being a long time that I haven’t shared any of my recipes here with you all because of hectic work schedule. Yesterday after office I was very tired and was feeling lazy to cook. Then suddenly one very simple recipe clicked into my mind and that was RICE PARATHAS. This recipe was taught by my mom and believe me, it’s very simple, easy to cook and damn delicious. Thanks to mom for sharing this. Following is the recipe of rice paratha:

Ingredients:
1) 1 cup cooked rice
2) 3 cup wheat flour
3) 1 ½ spoon red chilli powder
4) ½ spoon turmeric powder
5) ½ spoon garam masala
6) 1 spoon ajwain
7) 1 spoon jeera
8) 1 spoon ginger garlic paste
9) Salt to taste
10) Ghee/ butter.

Procedure for Rice Paratha :
Step 1) Take wheat flour in a dish and add cooked rice in it.
Step 2) Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, ajwain, jeera, ginger garlic paste, and salt in the mixture. Knead the dough with 1 spoon oil and sufficient amount of water.
Step 3) Now make medium and thick round shaped ball and gently roll the ball into a flat and not too thin circle.
Step 4) Heat it to medium temperature. Grease it with butter and cook both the sides of the paratha, by flipping it over, so that the sides brown properly.
Step 4) Serve hot rice parathas with pudina chatni / tomato ketchup /curd.

Easy Starters Recipes

Starters are the first course of a meal. It has its own uniqueness in Indian food menu. So here I have shared two such easy and quick recipes for starters. Hope you will enjoy these recipes.

Veg Lolly-Pop


Ingredients:-
7-8 tablespoon Corn flour,
3 tablespoon Maida (All-purpose flour),
2 tablespoon green chilly sauce,
2-4 drops soya sauce,
½ cup tomato sauce,
Chopped onion, cabbage, carrot, capsicum, ginger, and garlic

Method for Lolly Pop-
1. Mix all the above ingredients together and prepare oval shaped lolly pop.
2. Deep fry these oval shaped lolly pops.

Method for Gravy-
Take ½ tablespoon oil in a pan. Add chopped vegetables (carrot, ginger, garlic, capsicum, cabbage, spring onion) and fry it for 2-3 minutes.

Method for Sauce-
1. Take 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic, tomato sauce, red chilly powder and salt to taste.
2. Now add 1 cup water to it and cook for 5 minutes.
Now take those fried lolly pops in a plate and put the above prepared sauce on it. Finally serve this lolly pop with the above prepared gravy.

Packet Parcel


Ingredients-
200gm Chole (soaked in the water for 7-8 hours and then grind it in a mixer),
Chopped vegetables onion, coriander, ginger, garlic,
Chilly powder, garam masala, black pepper, lemon juice, salt,
7 tablespoon corn flour,
½ cup bread crumbs.
Maida (All-purpose flour) dough (for making chapattis)

Procedure-
  1. Mix all the above ingredients together and make round shaped cutlets.
  2. Take oil in a pan and deep fry these cutlets.
  3. Now make 4-5 chapattis and cut them in halves.
  4. Open the chapattis from the center apply mayonnaise and put a piece of cutlet in it.
  5. Garnish it with vegetables (carrot, capsicum) and serve it with tomato sauce.

How to Make Easy Sandwiches? Here's the Recipe!


Ketchup Sandwich:-
Ingredients-

1 packet white/brown bread,
½ cup Tomato ketchup,
½ cup Chickpea/gram flour (besan flour),
1 spoon red chilly powder,
Salt according to taste,
Butter
1 Tomato, onion, and cucumber.

Procedure-
Step 1- Take chickpea/gram flour in a vessel. Add salt, red chilly powder and water to form smooth batter.
Step 2- Take a slice of bread and apply butter over it. Now take a frying pan and place it on the gas with medium flame. Keep the bread in a frying pan apply the batter over it. Now put oil on the bread and on the sides. Turn the bread that is the batter side touching the pan. Roast both sides of the bread for two minutes.
Step 3- Take out that bread from the pan in a plate, apply tomato sauce over it and put tomatoes, onion, and cucumber that is cut in round pieces and garnish it with coriander.

Russian Sandwich-
Ingredients-

1 cup curd,
Chopped vegetables (carrot, green peas, french beans, pomegranate),
¼ cup canned and chopped pineapple,
1 packet white/brown bread,
Black pepper powder, salt to taste.

Procedure-
For Russian Salad:
Combine mixed vegetables, pineapple, curd, black pepper, and salt in a bowl and mix it well.
Proceed For Sandwich:
Step 1- Place 2 bread slice in a plate and apply little butter on each bread slice.
Step 2- Put some portion of prepared Russian salad in the center of one buttered bread slice and spread it evenly using a back of the spoon and cover it with another buttered bread slice.
Step 3- Take a frying pan and put 1 spoon oil on it. Now add little mustard seeds in the oil then keep prepared sandwich (step 2) in that pan and fry it for 2-3 minutes. Finally serve this sandwich with tomato ketchup.


Sweet Corn Sandwich:-
Ingredients-

½ cup boiled sweet corn,
1 chopped onion,
1 chopped tomato,
1 packet white/brown bread,
Ready-made mayonnaise
Salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder.

Procedure-
Step 1-Take oil in a pan and fry onion and tomato in it. Now add boiled sweet corn and again fry it for 5 minutes.
Step 2- Add salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder, and chopped coriander. Fry this for more 10 minutes.
Step 3- Allow the mixture to cool down for some time. Now take a bread slice and apply butter over it. Keep the mixture in the center of that slice and crush cheese cube on it. Now keep another bread slice (apply mayonnaise) on it. Now roast it in a sandwich maker and then serve it with tomato ketchup and potato wafers.

I would like to share some of the cake recipes that I have learned recently. Believe me they are not only delicious but also very easy. So try one of these homemade cake recipes.

sponge cake
Sponge Cake
Ingredients
250 gm All-purpose flour (Maida),
400 gm Milkmaid,
1 teaspoon Baking powder,
1 teaspoon Baking soda,
120 gm butter,
2-3 tablespoon Sugar powder,
Vanilla essence,
Soda water.

Procedure- Take butter, milkmaid, and sugar powder in a vessel and mix it well. Then add baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla essence in the mixture. Now add all-purpose flour (maida) and soda water and make a smooth batter. Now you can bake it in microwave oven or pressure cooker for 30 minutes.

Ingredients-
Sponge cake batter – 6 table spoon
Soda water
Mix fruit jam.

Procedure – Take sponge cake batter and add soda water. Then put this batter in the pot and bake it in the oven or pressure cooker. After the cake is fully baked allow it to cool for some time. Now apply fruit jam over it and roll the cake. Wrap the cake in the foil paper and keep it in the refrigerator (freezer) for 10-15 minutes. Now remove the roll and cut it into 1-1 inch pieces.

Ingredients- 1 cup curd,
1 cup sugar powder,
2 cup all-purpose flour (Maida),
2 table spoon coco powder,
½ cup oil,
½ teaspoon baking soda,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
milk.


Procedure:- Take curd and sugar powder  in a vessel and mix it well. Now add baking powder, coco powder, oil, and baking soda in then again mix it properly. Then add all-purpose flour (maida) and milk to form a smooth batter. Now put this batter in a pot and bake it in the oven or pressure cooker for 30 minutes.
